"Pickers"

Saturday, we headed to Oakley and then up Weber Canyon Road to our cabin to check out the work being done on our deck.

We had heard there was going to be road work through Parleys Canyon, our normal route there, so we decided to detour ourselves and go the back way, up I-80 through Weber Canyon and through Morgan on the back side of our mountains. Always beautiful and today serendipitous as we came across a great "pickers" paradise in a little town called Wanship.

"Pickers" is one of my favorite shows on the History channel and I know that Kim and her Uncle Roy re both fans as well. Great old farm equipment and get a load of the old Model T on top of the room and the suit of armor. It would such a hoot to explore those old buildings.

As you can see, the deck is coming along great and we were happy to see the truck there, as Lew won't move it on to another job site until ours is done. We may be putting that deck to good use - feet up and "diet coke" in had by the fall yet.

  1. OMG, I want to be there! I love that little car at the front of the first picture (double click on picture to see picture larger folks). Why didn't you look around? Roger could have been Frank, you know a bit surly until he spots something great and then suddenly BAM, GAME ON! Boy, I watch that programme way too much!!!
