On a personal note, Friday, August 26th, Roger and I will celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. I look in the mirror and I realize I have no idea where the last 40 years have gone. They have disappeared before my eyes, with only, at least sometimes, faint memories of a younger life. The one thing I know for sure is how happy, how fortunate, I have been to share those years with Roger.
Who would have know that that first day of 10th grade U.S. history would have been a life changer. Four years later, August 26, 1971, we were married and the adventure began. We have raised four amazing children, traveled around the world and have grown closer with each step.
Roger - grow old with me, the best is yet to be! Love you.
But then he went and left you, a few days short of your 40th anniversary!
ReplyDeleteSeriously. It is such a great thing to see two people who are still so happy after all those years. I wish you were spending the day together, but no doubt you have a celebration planned for when he gets back.
Congratulations and here's to the next 40 years. You never know!
Love you both
Kim
Wow! Congratulations! I love the photos. Roger's mustache back then was more "hippy". You have not changed at all!
