Book Binding 101

OK Ladies, the day finally came for the book binding class. I picked up my friend and away we went money in in hand though no supplies. We didn't get the supply list - wish we had, but we will know better for the next one we got to. Yes, it was fun and there will be a next one.
Paper to wrap the book covers in is what is really fun so ladies, keep your eyes sharp for great paper finds. The teacher brought her favorites which included paper from Italy, Nepal and Thailand. Mary, I bet you will be finding some great papers where you are going, so if not for yourself, pick some up for Kim and I.

The difficult task for me was cutting the "thick" book board with a slanted blade knife. I know
I'll get better at it, but that is my challenge. Maybe I start with thinner versions and work my way up. Stitching it all together went fast and really looked good when finished.

Today, I'm off to search out art supply stores and start having fun. I feel like "Temari" all over again.
