Now That's Funny!

Roy just sent me this picture taken in his garden, of a cat chasing a mouse.  Just look at the ears on the mouse, aren't they a hoot?  Apparently the mouse escaped into a hole and the cat is still prowling around it.

Spring Has Finally Arrived!

Monday morning came with a "very" cold wind that wiped away any thoughts of Spring.  I immediately went into a funk and spent the day going from one project to another, one chair to another and ended up accomplishing very little.  I absolutely "hate a cold wind and was ready to return to Bangkok on the next flight out.

Tuesday arrived, however,  and I am now energized again.  The sky is blue, the temps are in the high 50's and it is really beginning to look like winter is over and spring is here to stay.  I put on my sandals and they will not leave my feet until the end of
October - cold or not.

Singapore

Late one evening in Singapore, the children sprung on their parents that the following day was Book Day at school, and that they were supposed to go to school dressed as a character from a book.  Yikes!  Why hadn't they said so earlier?
Sam was well taken care of as he knew exactly who he wanted to be, a character from Lord of the Rings (sorry, I forget the name).  He also knew what costume he needed.  He grabbed his home made bow, fashioned a cloak out of a length of fabric and raided his mum's jewellery box for a clasp.  Clever lad.

Malacca

Years ago, Sair and I talked about going to Malaysia together, to visit Malacca.  With ever diminishing time left before she finally moves to India we decided to get on and do it.

Antelope Island

Normally when I've talked about Antelope Island it is in connection with the sunset photos I've taken from our backyard.  I love looking out across the Great Salt Lake to see the sun's reflection in the lake as it goes down behind the island.

FIRE AT ASOKE

Yet another fire to report, this time on Asoke, along the main road leading up to Petchaburi and next door to the Grand Millenium.
I initially saw the fire from the walkway at Asoke junction.  Having attended the Tea's Tacky Tutorial school of photography, I knew I wouldn't be living up to my tutor's faith in me, if I didn't get as near as I could.

School Program

I assume you thought when we started this blog it would be mostly about travel and sights from our new homes and locations, maybe even about interests such as quilting. But I am a grandma and grandmas have the right to be proud and show off their grandchildren. I have done it in the past, and I'm sure you'll see more of it in the future. Well, the month of February is President's month in the U.S. and Ana's (my daughter Allison's daughter) class along with the entire first grade put on a program on patriotism this afternoon. Ana is the one in the middle with pigtails.
