Grandma Week

These past two week Allison and Rob have been spending their 10th anniversary in Scotland and Ireland. Rob's parents got them the first week and Roger and I took them for the second. The girls (Ana and Livi) have had their moments but overall they have been great and taken everything in their stride.
You keep them happy by keeping them active and full. The schedule included bike rides at our favorite park. Lots of McDonalds and Hardees to fill the tummies. More trips to the playground, the Smurf movie, reading books, coloring pictures playtime with Addy (their cat) and even a sleepover in their own beds (that was a hit).

On Tuesday we met up with Ethan, Ingrid and Pokie for a game of bowling. Luckily, Roger, who suggested this activity (!), took the day off work so he was there to coordinate and help the kids with their bowling balls while Grace and I collected them from the arcade for their turns. The bumper pads and ball ramp made everybody winners. Everyone one of them thought they had won.
Tomorrow my shipment comes in and I still have the girls. On the next blog, I'll let you know how that went and if I survived!

  1. It really is a cross between the Waltons and the Rug Rats movie. I'm sure I can see fear in Rogers eyes! How cute is the tiny one (Pokie?) in her dress.

Er, all these kids wont be around when I visit will they? I've heard they are dangerous in a pack.

Oh yes, tell Roger I said nice shirt, I could use a bit of it in the quilt I'm making.
