I went along to Emporium to take a look at the voting station there. I thought it would be really exciting, with people in a holiday mood now that the election had finally arrived. Instead it was a very sedate affair.
The candidate lists.
Local tv preparing to broadcast.
All in all the voting was a bit boring really.
A quick walk around the park and I came across this woman, whose little boy had just jumped off the seesaw. It isn't often you see a woman play with her child whilst holding a parasol.
I just couldn't resist this little Japanese boy. He had fallen over in the mud, hopefully after his judo lesson! His dad was trying to get him to wipe his dirty hands on his clothes, but he refused and started crying.
We spotted this cool dude, who looked like a refugee from a 70s movie, on Sukhimvit. He looked even better from the front. Even the flies on his trousers matched his shirt. Before you say it, that was the first thing Mary commented on after we passed him!
There is a celebration going on along Japanese street. The local bakers there has all these pennants hanging down, with messages hand written on them. A table an extra pennants are there for you to write something if you wish.
Okay Janice, guess where we are having lunch?
Having taken over the role of freelance reckless photographer from Janice, I put my camera through a hole in a door to get this shot. It is along Silom, near the club, where there is an old cemetery. We spotted these mannequins lined up in the wilderness, just like in a science fiction film. Janice, we need you back. I keep missing the good shots that I know you would have got without thinking.
Janice, all these photos were taken with my new P&S camera.
