I should have known that the inevitable would happen, when I agreed to go to a shop on the other side of the river with Sue Hammond. She took me on a bus!
The woman is evil. She didn't give me a chance to hold my hand out to hail a cab, she just started running for the bus and yes, she made me run too! I can tell you I was scared. Not because of the bus, but because Sue was in charge of getting us to a destination.
Now I know that sounds mean, but she isn't exactly known for her sense of direction. Here is an example of my day out with Sue yesterday. We needed to get out of the mall where we were shopping. She took me up two flights of escalators, then back down one flight. She walked me around the same atrium section twice. Stood and looked confused, then strode off confidently in the wrong direction. She confided that it once took her 20 minutes to get out of Paragon Shopping Mall. Why hadn't she told me this BEFORE she took me into this one?
Oh, you think I am being extreamly mean? There is a river ferry stop outside her apartment, but she still managed to take me to another ferry stop and not realise it wasn't the one outside her own apartment! Believe me, a day out with Sue is akin to a magical mystery tour when she is in charge. Ha ha, thanks for a fun adventure Sue.
Oh and Margie, YOU'RE next!

I am ever so grateful that I managed 7 1/2 years
ReplyDeletewithout a bus adventure. It realy doesn't look so bad though. You must have gotten an air conditioned version. Janice
