Here are the Johnstons: Ana, Allison, Livi, and Rob. The tickets they got for us were three rows up and close to the chutes. We got some close up views of all of the action. Thanks, Allison.
Of course every rodeo needs the
cowgirls....
and the cowboys. ( Kim,
I think my rodeo boys are
better than the Hua Hin
fishermen. What do you think? )
The clowns, of course, are there for the safety of the contestants, but also for laughs.
Roger's favorite clown joke: "If I'd shot my wife when I FIRST thought of doing it, I'd be out by now."
These cowgirls brought out the American
Flag to start the night.
And then on with the Rodeo.....
We saw bareback riding...
and steer wrestling....
and, of course, bull riding. I apologize for not many action shots. The darker it got, but blurrier it got.
What we saw and you won't in this blog were saddle bronc riding and barrel racing. Both Roger and I thought the barrel racing was the best event. It's beautiful to see horses and riders racing at top speed.
The city had cancelled the fireworks show on the 4th due to fire concerns, but because of the rain that morning, we got the show on the 5th. Good luck all around.
Loved every minute of it! Thanks for the fun times!
