IS THIS THE MOST ANNOYING MAN IN BANGKOK?

Well he certainly is on Soi 12.

Every Sunday, regular as clockwork, this idiot is in the swimming pool, obviously teaching this kid how to swim.  For hours on end we are regaled with an Italian voice loudly chanting "WHAAN, TOOOAH, THREEEE", over and over and yes OVER again!  His already loud voice ricochets off the buildings as if he were using a megaphone, for hours on end!

One weekend I got so mad, I stood at the window and screamed at the top of my voice "SHUT UP!", then ran away from the window!  It wasn't that I was a coward, but it is a really 'common' thing to do.  Well he had driven me insane!

It went quiet, and then he lowered his voice somewhat.  However, every Sunday, we still have to listen to this annoying voice, even if it isn't quite so loud.

Then this week, a new development, he was chanting again but on a Friday!  OMG, do we have to put up with this twice a week now?  I looked over to his condo and he was in the pool with a grown up man and he was teaching this guy how to fall backwards and float.  He STILL needed to count, even for a grown up (and may I add overly hairy) man.  On the bright side, it is obvious that the swimming instructor has had a counting lesson, as this time we had, "WHAAN, TOOOAH, THREEEE, FOORWAH"!!!

I have decided that next week I shall launch my revenge, counter attack.  I am going to sequester myself on the balcony, behind a small wall.  When he starts counting, I am going to scream the following number really quickly and in an Italian accent.  Maybe it will annoy him, and he may just get the message.  Mean I know, but you try living with it.

Also, I know they sell megaphones in Chinatown.  Now that really would be fun!
