This past weekend, Roger and I headed up to our cabin above Park City on Weber Canyon Road. We've owned this property since 1996 and had the cabin built that same year. It has been our haven and retreat from the concerns of the world ever since. Ana, our oldest grand daughter tagged along and Jason, our youngest son and his girlfriend Christa, joined us for the work party on Saturday.
The cabin is part of an association and every spring there is a general clean up and pick up of downfall, etc. that occurs over the winter. Spring has been slow coming to Utah this year, so until recently, it's been difficult to get out and do the work. Seven years away has not worn well on our cabin and we quickly realized that the cabin will be needing a new deck sooner rather than later (put on the list). The inside needs a good cleaning and new paint, but otherwise, is in good shape. So while I cleaned inside and Ana watched "Sponge Bob", Roger, Jason and Christa went outside and played havoc with the chain saw. "Good fun was had by all".
Ana, of course, needed a ride on the four-wheeler and we all walked down to find the horses who usually are in the large pasture area. They definitely appreciated the sack of carrots we
brought with us.
Hey you got on! Now we really start finding out about our lives apart. I am going to sit Mary down next week and at least get the admin sorted, or I can see her going off without the ability to blog. Welcome & great first blog!
ReplyDeleteSuper well done with the pics. I just couldn't get mine to load. What a quick learner you are. Wait until Mary finally gets on!
