Coco goes Thai

After searching out all the ingredients I finally got around to cooking Phad Khi Maow Sen Yai.

I more or less followed the recipe in the book but added loads of veggies like they do in JT.  I also added more chillies then we did in the class.  It was actually really good.  It needs a bit of refinement, but it tasted as it should.  I think I will go with more oyster and soy sauce.  Delicious.
It tasted better than it looks!
I am now left with the world's biggest supply of kale, holy basil and baby corn.  Tomorrow I will do a veggie stir fry with Khao Phad Ke Pow.  Okay, I COULD go to the kitchen, get the cookbook and look up the spelling, but you know what I mean!

Check out that sweat!

For some reason, my pictures wont load.  I want you to see me with my sweat dripping into the wok, thereby eliminating the need for salt!

In the cookbook, Poo talks about black sauce.  I bought some of this and I THINK it is actually dark soy sauce.  I will check with Sam.

Meanwhile, the house across the road had the last few shrubs they were working around removed from the side garden.  I am more convinced than ever that it will be an ugly car park.

Off to Bedfordshire now.
