now and their dance routines were so sweet and fun to watch. Most important, they had a great time. We had to get there early, as parents, grandparents, friends, etc. filled the High School
auditorium where it was held.
Ana has also been taking guitar lessons since her birthday last April. She had let it be known that she wanted a pink guitar and so Roger found the perfect one. She has really taken to it and willingly practices every day. Her teacher reserved the local library auditorium for the morning and while Ana was one of the youngest students she, again, did a great job.
I love her pink guitar!
That night we joined Allison, Rob and the girls for dinner, gifts and the second annual talent show.
The girls loved the bears we got them.
Ana and Roger's talent was playing a piece together on their guitars. I cut out snowflakes to make skirts for the ballerina paper dolls I had made. Ana was VERY impressed. Amazing what you can find on Pinterest.
The next morning we headed over to Daniel and Grace's for the gift exchange. Breakfast was part of the deal and delicious being a true international event with a combination of Philippine, Chinese and American foods. That afternoon everyone headed back to our place for a turkey dinner. Mom was even able to attend which made it a perfect Christmas day.
While we LOVE the season, it's always good see it come to an end. Tomorrow the tree comes down and we make plans for the coming new year. Let's see? Quilting and travel top the lists. Here's wishing everyone a very Happy New Year.
We had a great Christmas! Thanks for everything!!! And yes, Ana is still amazed by your "talent"!
ReplyDeleteHa ha, I have to get a pink guitar for myself, how cool is that?! Tell Ana well done.
ReplyDeleteHas Ingrid chopped off her hair?
Grace cut her hair and she does look so different - getting all grown up.
