I Think It's Winter!

 Sorry it's been so long since I wrote last.  Problems with the blog and ability to post photos.  I think it is taken care of for the near future so I am happy to be writing again.  November is just a blur in my memory as we were spending a lot of time running back and forth to the hospital for my Mom.  She is home now and on the mend so December we all were able to
come up for breath and enjoy the holiday season.

 These are photos that Roger took of the fog that came in one day.  It didn't
last for long (a couple of days), but I was so happy that Roger thought of
driving up above the valley and take these pictures.  You are looking out toward Antelope Island west of our home.

 One Sunday after Church, Roger and decided to take a longer ride (1 1/2 hours each way) to Wendover Nevada which is right on the border with Utah.  We hadn't driven that way for years and thought that would be an easy destination.  We passed the famous(?) salt flats where speed records are made as well as the "Utah Tree" above.  Someone constructed that decades ago and it welcomes everyone who makes the bus run from SL to play the slot machines in Wendover.

 

 We had a white Christmas this year and, in fact. it kept snowing for about three days straight.  It has brought Utah much needed moisture and skiers from around the country and world to experience some of the best snow around.

 

 We headed up to the cabin last night (December 28th) and as you can see from the photo above, the snow leading up our driveway was about knee deep.  Roger got us up and after we shoveled the deck (yes, I helped), we settled in for a night in front of the fireplace as well as movie watching in the "new" TV room down the hall.   Roger took out the bottom shelf by the
fireplace to add a wood box.  It works great!

 This is our transportation during the winter months.  As it was 5 degrees when we got up this morning we opted for a quick ride back to the car instead of a scenic ride around the association.

 

Even if we didn't get in our snowmobile ride, we got some great photos from right in front of the cabin.
