Alan turned 60 this month!
Of course I made him the man he is now. You don't believe me? Take a peek...
Before he knew me, Alan couldn't even dress himself - I on the other hand, always send him out FULLY dressed.
I rein in some of his more excessive sartorial efforts. Well, at least he kept his clothes on for this fashion victim look, but where did he get those glasses?
Er...enough said I believe!
Alan's birthday celebrations started with Hummingbird cakes and drinks in the office
I couldn't get everyone in the office photo, so here are the people standing to one side of the newsroom!
Later that weekend, we went to the brunch at Tables, in the Erawan hotel. Surely one of the most elegant brunches around and the food was superb. That's the third birthday cake if you are counting. We moved across the road to Central Groove for drinks, where we were given these interesting cocktails. Very hubble bubble! Then back to the earn for more drinks (notice no photos!).
On Alan's birthday we went to the Normandy Room at the Oriental. Yes, that would be the FOURTH birthday cake!
What an amazing lunch, just look at how beautifully they presented the creme anglaise.
A stunning day, that moved us both and reminded me how lucky I was to be married to Alan.
Finally, the day after Alan's birthday we returned yet again to Siem Reap. We visited old favourites, such as Bayon, Ankor Wat etc.
Of course no trip to Siem Reap is complete without a trip on Tonle Sap, which was very low hence the interesting water colour.I think I am safe in saying that Alan thoroughly enjoyed his birthday celebrations!
