I know I am not the only person who is bored by the whole protest movement, it is almost the first thing we say to each other when we meet up. Now I could be wrong, but it looks like we are not the only bored ones. Taken at Asoke yesterday. If you can't see it, one of the men is asleep in a hammock.
Chinese New Year is upon us. I managed to see this dragon dance as it departed Times Square.
Those of us who have lived here a few years, will remember the ridiculous queues that formed when Krispy Kreme opened their concession in Paragon. Well it looks like the public have been suckered into queuing for yet another food product. I saw this queue when I was in the Paragon food hall, so I went outside to investigate.
The queue is three lines deep and spanned the length of the building to the doors of the food hall. A salesperson marshalled small groups of people through the food hall to the concession stand, where there was yet another queue.
Now my love for cinema style popcorn is legendary (well in my own waistline anyway), but even I would not have queued outside for a box of gourmet popcorn. Apparently Garrett popcorn is the 'in' thing at the moment.I am going to wait a year until the next food fad comes along to knock Garrett's popularity before trying it. There is NO way I am going to queue. Good job it isn't Godiva chocolate though, as I would have to pitch my tent over night and every night!
