I am so lucky to have talented friends, and Sue is an example of not just talented, but generous with her time too.
Sue is a professional painter, but she hasn't painted for many years for various reasons. This year she became inspired to take it up again (I think my whining about wanting some lessons may have played a small part).
Renewing her passion for painting, has also meant plenty of shopping excursions looking for supplies. This included carrying a wooden easel between us, back and forth through Central World (so I earned at least one of my classes), when it became evident that a taxi wasn't going to take her and her easel home.
I am now the beneficiary of her talent, as Sue has been helping me out with my painting (and without laughing at me!). Sue was an art teacher in the past, and what I didn't know until this week, was quite what a dedicated teacher she is. Sue broke her little toe during the week (yes go ahead and laugh, I did!). Despite this, she hobbled her way on public transport over to my place to give me a lesson. Hey stop jeering at me, I offered to cancel!
So thanks Sue, your help is much appreciated.
Sue, Kim has sent on a few of your paintings and they are wonderful. I'm happy that you are
ReplyDeleteback painting. Do, inspire Kim. I am waiting to see some of her work as well. Janice
