Tuesday arrived, however, and I am now energized again. The sky is blue, the temps are in the high 50's and it is really beginning to look like winter is over and spring is here to stay. I put on my sandals and they will not leave my feet until the end of
October - cold or not.
Tuesday is "Mom day" and what we have been doing lately is taking long drives around the city and out into the country. Mom loves to get out and is always waiting,
jacket on and keys pinned to her pocket, anxious to get going. It's a favorite time for me as well as this is our time to chat and even enjoy the quiet between us. Today we drove to check out the new growth and the color that is popping up everywhere.
These are tuplips from Mom's garden.
And from her next door neighbor's.
Tuesday also turned out to be moving day. Evan and Nash have returned from their three month tour of Asia (how would it be!!!) and have settled into a condo they are thinking about purchasing. They came up to "finally" empty out the "River Guides" closet. Nash had a very worried look on her face as Evan kept bringing out bucket after bucket of gear. We joked a about using the containers for tables and chairs - well at least I joked. Kim, I took this picture because Evan is using a quilt!!!!! to secure a folding screen in place. Luckily for him, it wasn't one of mine. It was his Grandmother's and he quickly returned it to me unharmed.
Tuesday was also Roger's birthday. The kids tried to figure out how old he was by counting the candles - 6 large ones and one "baby" one. They came up with everything but 61. Three more months and retirement is here. I should have some great blogs by July. We'll see if I'm surviving.
Life is good!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROGER!!!!
