Er, Is This Thing Called A Bus?

I should have known that the inevitable would happen, when I agreed to go to a shop on the other side of the river with Sue Hammond.  She took me on a bus!

Enough of Winter!!!!!

This January has given us more cold, more snow, more ice, more fog, more smog than I want in a life time.  Above is a frozen brush from the local car wash.  That should have given me a huge hint of what was to come.  While in the West we are always evaluating snow and moisture levels to make sure we will have enough the next summer's needs, enough is enough.

UDAIPUR

A few photos from Udaipur, where Alan and I stayed right on the bank of Lake Pichola.  This is a view from the lake of the City Palace museum, just along from our hotel.
We took a boat ride around part of the lake at sunset, which was beautiful.

Indian Animal Antics

For some reason, I ended up with a lot of animal photos from our Indian Holiday.

Our driver stopped at this spot to explain to us that the locals put out food here, for the animals.  If we hadn't been so indolent and greedy, stuffing our faces with breakfast, we would have seen a lot more animals eating their meals.
If you closely at this picture, there are a couple of cows, a crow on the cow's back and a monkey, all helping themselves to a meal.

Indian Headwear

Whilst in India, I was struck by the different forms of headwear worn in daily life.  I especially loved the turbans, which are 25 yard long strips of cloth.  Can you imagine how heavy that must be?

You Cannot Escape The Devine Ms. B!

Look who is back in town!   The Devine Ms. B is back.  I am going to have to hone my repartee skills, as my verbal sparring partner revs up for the match.

She dragged me over to Central looking for - shock, horror, REAL FOOD!  There wasn't an ounce of OATMEAL in sight!  Mind you, she did buy apples for her apple sauce, so I guess some things never change.  How poor Bill has managed to eat oatmeal and applesauce for his dinner every night for about 20 years, I don't know.
